Students’ Achievements

S.2 student Kate Lok participated in the “Stitchable Chinese Arts” Fashion Design Competition and Catwalk Show 2023/2024, organized by the Art Education Section of the Curriculum Development Institute, Education Bureau, and the School of Fashion and Textiles at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

With guidance from professors and university students at the School of Fashion and Textiles, the 50 finalists engaged in workshops in April and May 2024 to bring their designs to life. The culminating event took place on 29 August 2024, where their creations graced the runway at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Kate’s outfit seamlessly blends modern and traditional styles, incorporating Chinese elements while maintaining a contemporary aesthetic.
Comfort Features:
• Garments designed for versatility, suitable for all occasions and adaptable across seasons.
• A striking red Tang suit adorned with Chinese dragon patterns, paired with black-and-white striped pants featuring a slit at the bottom. The red fabric showcases intricate dragon motifs.
• A white and gold gradient trench coat embellished with gold lotuses and silk-like fabric on the back, complementing the red and black ensemble.

Significance of Reviving the Tang Suit:
• The tang suit holds historical importance in Chinese fashion.
• Dazzling colours enhance the vibrancy of Chinese qipaos and other traditional clothing.
• Chinese dragons symbolize courage, strength and fortune in Chinese culture.
• The colour red signifies wealth and fortune, making it a popular choice among the Chinese people.

 

Seven Clarians from the rope skipping team participated in the "Jump Rope for Heart" Inter-School Rope Skipping competition, which was organized by the Hong Kong College of Cardiology, on 11 July 2024. They showcased an outstanding performance and were once again recognized with a total of 22 medals awarded. The results are as follows:

Tse Hui Yu Charity from S2 was awarded 2nd runner-up in 15 seconds (Junior) Front Speed and 1st runner-Up in 15 seconds (Junior) Side Straddle.
Chen Wing Chi Vincy from S2 was awarded 1st runner-up in 15 seconds (Junior) in Speed Step. Besides, Vincy got the champion in 15 seconds Front Speed Jump and 15 seconds (Junior) Double Under.
Chan Wing Lam Hailey from S2 was awarded 1st runner-up in 15 seconds (Junior) Front Speed and 15 seconds (Junior) Double Under. Besides, Hailey got the merit prize in 15 seconds (Junior) in Speed Step.
Yau Sum Yi Melissa from S2 was awarded 2nd runner-up in 15 seconds (Junior) Speed Step and merit prize in 15 seconds (Junior) Front Speed.
Lam Ching Ying Kaydia 3M was awarded merit prize in 15 seconds (Junior) Front Speed and 2nd runner-up in 15 seconds (Junior) Double Under. Besides, Kaydia was awarded champion in 15 seconds (Junior) Side Straddle and Speed Step.
Fung Hoi Yan Sakura from S4 awarded merit prize in 15 seconds (Senior) in Front Speed and 2nd runner-up in 15 seconds (Senior) Front Cross, Double Under and Speed Step.
Lee Pui Wing Lian from S4 was awarded merit prize in 15 seconds (Senior) in Front Speed, Front Cross and Double Under. Additionally, Lain got 1st runner-up in 15 seconds (Senior) Speed Step.
