Seventeen students participated in the English Public Speaking Contest organized by The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups in March. With the guidance of teachers, students wrote their own scripts about different social issues that piqued their interests and learnt the skills to deliver their speeches eloquently in spoken English.
Two students entered the Semi-Final Round of the competition, and they were Christy Yang and Joelle Jeanbourquin from S.3. In the Semi-Final Round, they had to give impromptu speeches and they demonstrated extraordinary logical thinking and communication skills in delivering their messages concisely and effectively. Henceforth, they were awarded the Certificate for District Finalists.
Congratulations to the winners!
