Kai Tai Sports Initiative – The 6th Hong Kong Inter-School Jump Rope Championship

On 7 July 2024, our school’s Rope Skipping Team made an impressive mark at the esteemed “Kai Tak Sports Initiative – The 6th Hong Kong Inter-School Jump Rope Championship,” which was organized by the Hong Kong Rope Skipping Federation, China. This highly anticipated competition showcased the talent and competitive spirit of over 1,000 students from 111 schools. Nineteen members achieved an outstanding feat, winning a total of 21 medals.

Additionally, their exceptional performance led them to triumph in the “Team Show” category, impressing judges with their synchronized routines, precision, and artistic flair. Furthermore, the team’s outstanding overall performance allowed our school to successfully secure the championship title in the ‘Secondary Girls’ category. This marks the second time our school has won the prestigious Girls Team Show and Girls Overall Champion titles. Janice also emphasized the invaluable camaraderie and teamwork among her fellow skippers, whose collective efforts fueled their determination.

Regarding the team’s triumphant success Wong Ching Tung Janice, a Secondary Six student, was interviewed by a reporter from Oriental Daily News. Janice shared that she had been part of the school’s rope skipping team since Secondary One. Despite struggling to secure victory in prior competitions, Janice ‘s team now achieved a hard-won success, which she credited to the unwavering support of her parents, teachers, and teammates.
