The Zonta Club of Hong Kong East successfully hosted the Joint Induction and Installation Ceremony for the SPSS & SCGS Zonta Clubs in St. Clare’s Girl’s School (SCGS). The event commenced with an address from Mrs. Cherry Chan, the Principal of SCGS, who welcomed guests and highlighted the importance of the Zonta Clubs in fostering leadership and community service among students.
Following the Principal’s address, Mrs. Angela Keung, President of the Zonta Club of Hong Kong East, delivered an inspiring speech, motivating attendees to recognize their strengths and talents while emphasizing resilience in the face of challenges.
The ceremony continued with the annual reports presented by the presidents of the SCGS and SPSS Z Clubs. Their reports showcased the clubs’ achievements over the past year and outlined future goals. A significant highlight was the presentation of certificates to outstanding Z Club members by Ms. Lucy Wong, Chairman of the Advocacy Committee, acknowledging their hard work and dedication.
The induction of new Z Club members was presided over by Mrs. Diana Wong, with membership cards and Z pins presented by Mrs. Margaret Leung for SCGS and Ms. Anna Wong for SPSS. This moment marked the beginning of a new chapter for the incoming members. Ms. Joyce Yu, First Vice-President of Zonta Club of Hong Kong East, conducted the induction of officers, ensuring a smooth transition of leadership.
The ceremony concluded with closing remarks from the president of the SCGS Jasmine Yin, followed by a group photo session and an open discussion for experience sharing among Zonta Club members from both schools. The event successfully fostered a sense of community and shared purpose among the members, setting a positive tone for the upcoming year.
